There are many times where I am looking for activities to fit in a specific theme I am using with my children. I am often able to find activities for my elementary-aged son, but finding coordinating activities to do with my preschooler can prove to be a bit more of a challenge. One web site I recently discovered may solve that problem.
EverythingPreschool.com has thousands of activities gathered from around the web all collected in one location. The site is easy to use with themes that keep the activities organized. (Although I did not see the small tabs at the top on my first visit to the page which left me wondering where all of the wonderful activities were hiding.)
You can find activities for themes from Airplanes to the Zoo. They are organized by the beginning letter or you can search the site’s “Favorite Themes” or click on a tab to view their “New Themes”. Each theme has songs, science activities, art projects, books, games, coloring pages, and much more.
You can also search their lesson plans. Although there are not as many, these lessons are organized for a week’s worth of learning in a preschool setting. (Of course, they can be adapted for home use, as well.)
Overall, I think it is a nice web site with a lot of ideas. It will serve as a great starting point when I need a specifically themed idea for my preschooler. I already found a few ideas about ants that I will be using while my older son is finishing a display for our local nature center!
